Summary:

The Service Technician is responsible for working hand-in-hand with the Service, Maintenance & Operations Managers and scheduling teams to perform all aspects of maintenance,service & construction to accomplish the desired end result of any pool service that we provide & to ensure a happy customer.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • The Service Technician must be knowledgeable in many phases of the pool construction and operation of all pool equipment in order to perform below this job/assigned duties.
  • Open and Close pools & spas.
  • Replace pump motors.
  • Prep pool for plaster.
  • Install pumps, filters and automation panels as well understand operation.
  • Small tile repairs & plaster patching.
  • Install heaters(will be trained if needed).
  • Perform advanced chemical balancing and testing of water. Pool maintenance as needed.
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace swimming pool equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to make decisions that benefits the company.
  • Responsibility for addressing service and maintenance issues for residential and commercial pools.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Measure and install safety pool covers per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of all pool services performed(submit reports, we will train).
  • Responsible for care of the company’s vehicle by keeping it maintained, clean, and stocked; responsible for maintaining accurate and proper level of inventory on the vehicle.>
  • Responsible for handling, transporting, and delivering pool chemicals to customers.
  • Attend meetings as scheduled by the manager.
  • Complies and enforces company standards.
  • Wearing a uniform is a must.
  • Safely performs all duties and reports any unsafe conditions.
  • Poses valid drivers license.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work in a field for extended periods.(up to 9-10h per day)(8am-5(6)pm M-F)

Physical Requirements – While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, carry, reach with hands, kneel, crouch or crawl, push, pull, must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces during working/business hours.

Reasoning Ability – To apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Certificates, Licenses, registrations: Poses a valid Driver license is a MUST.

Related work experience: at least 3 years of aquatic experience is REQUIRED.

Work Environment – While performing the above duties of this job, the employee will work 100% in the field.

Scheduling requirements – The typical work week is 5-6days – Monday – Saturday. Sunday OFF.
