Job Title: Swimming Pool Maintenance Technician

Department: Maintenance

Reports to: Maintenance Manager & Operations Manager

FLSA Status: non-exempt

Summary:

Perform full maintenance of residential and commercial swimming pools with or without supervision. Completes assigned daily tasks on time and has open communication with the overseeing manager. Ensure quality service and a high customer satisfaction rate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assist in Pool Opening and Closing
  2. Maintain private and public swimming pools, hot tubs, wading pools
  3. Arrive on time and follows the daily schedule of assigned pools, approximately 6-12 pools per day
  4. Maintain the proper chemical balance for the pool
  5. Transports and stores chemicals
  6. Maintain an automated record of all activities and submit a report via email/text/app to the office after each pool visit
  7. As needed, operates vehicles to transport himself or herself between assigned pools, at times in heavy traffic.
  8. Deliveries
  9. Transport various types of materials and equipment
  10. Clean and service swimming pool filtration system
  11. Use a swimming pool vacuum cleaner to clean the pool floor
  12. Use a telescopic pole with a net to clean and remove any leaves or derbies
  13. Scrub pool floors and walls using a brush
  14. Check pool filtration motor and equipment and report malfunctions
  15. Assist in pool winterization
  16. Attend meetings as scheduled by the manager
  17. Complies and enforces Company standards
  18. Safely performs all duties and reports any unsafe conditions
  19. Perform other duties as assigned
  20. Pool acid washing
  21. Pool/deck pressure washing
  22. Construction assistant as needed(cut,chip,prep pool, digging, etc…)

Physical Requirements – While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, carry, reach with hands, kneel, crouch or crawl, push, pull, Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. Able to work in inclement weather.

Reasoning Ability – to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Certificates, Licenses, registrations: Poses a valid Driver license is a MUST.

Related work experience: at least 1 year of aquatic experience is preferred but not required. We provide paid training.

Scheduling requirements – The job requires evenings and weekends as needed to meet operational demands or deadlines. The typical workweek is 6 days – Monday – Saturday, Sunday OFF.

Summary:

The Service Technician is responsible for working hand-in-hand with the Service, Maintenance & Operations Managers and scheduling teams to perform all aspects of maintenance,service & construction to accomplish the desired end result of any pool service that we provide & to ensure a happy customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. The Service Technician must be knowledgeable in many phases of the pool construction and operation of all pool equipment in order to perform below this job/assigned duties.
  2. Open and Close pools & spas.
  3. Replace pump motors.
  4. Prep pool for plaster.
  5. Install pumps, filters and automation panels as well understand operation.
  6. Small tile repairs & plaster patching.
  7. Install heaters(will be trained if needed).
  8. Perform advanced chemical balancing and testing of water. Pool maintenance as needed.
  9. Diagnose, repair, and replace swimming pool equipment.
  10. Strong attention to detail, ability to make decisions that benefits the company.
  11. Responsibility for addressing service and maintenance issues for residential and commercial pools.
  12. Must be a team player.
  13. Measure and install safety pool covers per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  14. Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of all pool services performed(submit reports, we will train).
  15. Responsible for care of the company’s vehicle by keeping it maintained, clean, and stocked; responsible for maintaining accurate and proper level of inventory on the vehicle.>
  16. Responsible for handling, transporting, and delivering pool chemicals to customers.
  17. Attend meetings as scheduled by the manager.
  18. Complies and enforces company standards.
  19. Wearing a uniform is a must.
  20. Safely performs all duties and reports any unsafe conditions.
  21. Poses valid drivers license.
